Call for Artists

Graveyard Goods is a merch shop with three goals:

  1. Celebrate people’s love of Aiden’s books and build a greater community within this queer, brown, magical fandom.

  2. Support good causes. All net profit: revenue from consumers—minus the manufacturing, shipping, and fulfillment cost, as well as commission to the artist—goes to a rotating nonprofit.

  3. Promote small, queer, and BIPOC artists. Graveyard Goods wants to give artists exposure—and some cool stuff with their art on it, and a 60% commission of all sales of that stuff.

It’s all in the details

  • How are artists chosen?

Part of Graveyard Goods’ mission is to promote small artists, but we’re flexible about how exactly to define small. We want to uplift queer and BIPOC artists. Artists are chosen with these values in mind.

  • How do artists get paid?

Artists will receive 60% of the gross profit for items they created as a commission, monthly during their featured spot period.

The remaining 40% net profit goes to charity which changes regularly. Artists are welcome to offer their favorite nonprofit as an option!

  • How long are artists featured on Graveyard Goods?

Featured artists are updated seasonally, every 3 months.

  • What's the responsibility of the Artist?

Featured artists collaborate with Aiden and the Graveyard Goods team to decide on everything from art direction to final design(s) placement on product(s). Artists have to provide digital assets appropriate for printing. The Graveyard Goods team will handle manufacturing coordination, fulfillment, and everything else.

  • How are products priced?

It’s part of Graveyard Goods’ mission to make products as affordable as possible for buyers!

Everything currently in the store is sold with a varying profit of $1-6, and the exact cost breakdown will be approved by the artist before items go on sale.

  • Who owns the copyright of images sold in the store?

Aiden Thomas retains the intellectual property of Cemetery Boys, Lost in the Never Woods, and The Sunbearer Trials. The artist retains the copyright of images sold on Graveyard Goods. Aiden Thomas reserves the right to sell products with those images for a contracted length of time. After that, the artist can do whatever they want with them!
